ENJOY. It's heavey duty, and well worth the price. I 've had this product for a long time now, and I can tell you it is the BEST on the market. I LOVE IT.
I use it for carrots, parsnips, asparagus and of course potatoes. This is not it but it is close runner up, especially considering the cost. It's not as good as my ceramic peeler but it is a good back-up.Kyocera Mega Peeler, Black I grew up using those all steel potato peelers that cost a couple of bucks, have bare handles were never really sharp. I hated being on peeling duty largely because of the poor quality of tool that I had availible to me.When I stated buying my own kitchen tools I looked for the best manual peeler I could find.
I would recommend this very highly. This is the BEST peeler I ever had, after using it awhile, I bought 2 more just for extra, surprisingly, the blade is still sharp after a couple years, use it daily as I cook professionally.
not only is it very effective at peeling potatoes and carrots it makes a chore easy and almost fun. I had pretty much given up peeling potatoes because of Arthritis but this peeler is the easiest one to use that I have ever found. Soft grip makes it easy to hold has a handy little point on the end that is the best eye removing device ever.
The older ones just sit in the drawer now. It has an easy, comfortable grip and works great. He only uses this peeler. I purchased this for my husband who is the "chef" in our home. He is 65 and loves the ease of use of the peeler.
